据央视报道，正在美国休斯敦进行脚部手术的刘翔这个新年过的非常温暖，他的身边不但有家人和教练的陪伴，好朋友姚明也前来探望。在苦战雄鹿涉险过关后，姚明在元旦这天来到刘翔在休斯敦租住的公寓里，与他一起迎接新年的第一天。两个人在相互鼓励的同时，也向全中国人民送上了新年的祝福与问候。
