- 微软裁员并非史无前例 过去7年开除1000多人
1月19日消息，据国外媒体报道，微软很可能于本周四宣布34年来首次大规模裁员行动，尽管微软很少裁员，但并不意味微软从未进行过裁员。据统计，在过去的7年中微软至少裁员1078人。
2003年6月，微软在日本XBox部门裁员34人。2002年1月，微软在硅谷UltimateTV部门裁员500人。
2004年8月至2005年1月间，微软共裁员233人。其中，76人来自XBox部门，157人为测试工程师。
2005年8月，微软在美国呼叫中心裁员72人。2006年6月，微软在美国裁减214人销售人员。去年11月，微软收购FAST企业搜索部门后又裁员25名美国员工。
这只是有案可查的裁员数量，因此，在过去的7年中，微软至少裁员1078人。
